Danson Road, Bexleyheath, 1951

A view of Danson Road, looking north-east from the South Lodge of Danson Park, shows the great variety of designs used for houses on the Danson Estate, reflecting the individual preferences of house buyers and the limited capital available to developers.

As the housing boom progressed in the 1920s the building companies gradually took on larger scale projects and the design of their homes became rather more uniform.
