Map of Belvedere, Bexley, 1897

Map of Belvedere, Bexley, 1897
1:2500 OS map, published by the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1897.

This map shows Belvedere after the first stage of its development.

There are semi-detached houses standing along Bexley Road, between All Saints Church and the Baptist Chapel.

Both the church and chapel were built with the support of Sir Culling Eardley, owner of Lessness Heath who lived at Belvedere, a house standing to the north east of this map.

There are some attractive villas abutting Belvedere Park intended for middle class residents.
