Blendon Road, Old Bexley looking east towards the hamlet of Bridgen.

Blendon Cottage was behind the trees on the left and to the right were the grounds of Blendon Hall, which was built in 1763.

In the 1930s the Blendon Hall Estate was purchased for development by D C Bowyer and the house was demolished in 1934.

The second photograph is detail from the first.
