Alfred Bean, c. 1900

Alfred Bean, c. 1900

Alfred William Bean was the owner of Danson, a Palladian Villa built by Sir John Boydin c.1763.

It was Bean who, as Chairman of Bexley Local Board and the Bexleyheath Railway Company, first envisaged transforming his 582 acre estate into a residential suburb of London.
