The Yacht public house today is in Bexleyheath
having taken the licence from the pub in Erith
which was due to be demolished in the mid-1930s
as part of a road widening scheme in the town
centre. This explains the name of this 'beached
vessel' far from water! |

Hudson's Coal and Coke merchants, which was
eventually demolished to make way for the
police station, is on the left.
The (by now empty) sign for the Yacht public house can be seen on the river side of the High Street with the pub itself opposite.
