Loring Hall, North Cray, 1977

Loring Hall, home of Lord Castlereagh in the early 1800s, was typical of the large houses with their accompanying estates, which were common in the area right up until the early 20th century.

Although some of the houses remain, the estates were broken up and used for housing or recreational purposes.
