Stage I extended over an area of 85 acres of which 50 acres were allocated to housing. The housing comprised 1,490 dwellings and was made up of three housing types: twelve
13-storey tower blocks of flats, two 5-storey linear maisonette blocks (seen here) and 3-storey row houses.
