This
map shows the dramatic growth of Welling in
the inter-war period.
Between 1920 and 1926 Bexley Urban District
Council built 426 houses on land north of
the railway line as part of the Welling Council
Housing Scheme.
South of Watling Street the sale of the Danson
Estate opened up land for develop-ment by private
builders. |
