One
of a number of troughs throughout London erected
by the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and
Cattle Trough Association.
Founded in 1859 these troughs were placed
all over the metropolitan district reflecting
the increase in horse drawn road traffic caused
by the expansion of London.
