Page Heath Lane, Bickley, 1983

Page Heath Lane, Bickley, 1983

The house was divided into flats about 1970.

One of several Ernest Newton designed houses in Bickley, Little Orchard was built in 1902.

Neighbouring houses numbered 21 - 23, also by Newton, have a rough cast finish, but in contrast this one is of red brick.

No. 25, shown here, was originally named 'Broad Clyst' and the home of Rev.Charles Wilson. It reflects the Georgian influence that was inspiring Newton at this time.

It appears to have been speculatively built as it took several years to find an occupier.
