Built in 1897, Park View was one of a number of large houses that lined the edge of Sundridge Park.

In 1901 it was the home of Robert Brown, a grocer. Unlike its near neighbour Oatlands it remained in residential use throughout its existence probably due to the longevity of its owner, Edith Lewis-King who was in residence from 1912 to 1970.

Demolished shortly after her death, developers soon filled the site with upmarket, modern houses as they had done at Carn Brea.
