Baptist Chapel, Bromley,
1866

The beginnings of develop-ment in Park Road and Palace Grove is visible to the right.
The church remains little altered today. |
|

Opening in 1863 to the design of London architect
R. H. Moore and following a sudden upsurge
of interest in the Baptist church caused by
the work of an enthusiastic young preacher,
this early view shows the gate to Sherman's
field on the left, later the site of Tweedy
Road.
