Foxbury, Kemnal Road, Chislehurst, c. 1875

Foxbury, Kemnal Road, Chislehurst, c. 1875

Foxbury was designed by David Brandon as a home for Henry Tiarks, a banker.

It remained in the family until the mid thirties, by which time it was being encroached on by development and was no longer the country home it had been built as.

A training centre of the Church Missionary Society from 1938, it became a retreat in 1969.

It is now the Woolwich Bank training centre.
