Cotmandene
Crescent, Cray Valley, 1965

Although there are now a number of vacant units the centre still remains comp-aratively busy. |

Cotmandene
Crescent was planned as the main Shopping
Centre for the St. Paul's Cray Estate.
Completed by the end of the 1950s, with flats
above, the wide road with a central reservation
aids parking and has helped the shops to survive
more success-fully than in other local parades.
Originally the home to national chains such
as Woolworth's and with banks too, in recent
years independent shops have dominated.
