Millfield Cottages, Cray Valley, c. 1955

Millfield Cottages, Cray Valley, c. 1955

Dating from the 1920s, Millfield Cottages are an early example of public housing in the Cray Valley.

They were erected by Bromley RDC, concerned by the poor standard of housing for local workers, probably shortly after the opening of the Sevenoaks Way in 1926.

Although modernised they look very similar today.
