St Andrew's Church, Court
Road, Mottingham, c. 1905

Built
in 1897 by Edward Clarke, St Andrew's became
Mottingham's first parish church in 1884,
reflecting the increasing significance of
the former hamlet during this period.
A burial ground, however, was not permitted.
Built in Court Road, which was undeveloped
until the 1930s, it remained Mottingham's
sole Anglican church until St Edward's was
opened in 1958. |
