War Memorial, Mottingham, c. 1954

War Memorial, Mottingham, c. 1954

Unveiled in March 1920, this unusual temple style memorial, designed by George Hubbard, a resident of West Park, has ever since been the focal point for the community and is pictured here on remembrance day.

Costing £620, it is an impressive structure for what was then a relatively small community.
