Built
around 1862 as part of Brook Villas, four
similar houses, No 35 is a good example of
mid-Victorian development on the Beckenham
Penge borders.
This was about as far as the housing came
at this period. There was then a pause in
development until the new surge in the early
20th century caused the building up of the
Clock House and Elmers End areas over the
border in Beckenham.
