Oaklands Close, Petts Wood, c. 1935

The generous scale of the houses was typical of those of Petts Wood's earlier development. |
|
Oaklands Close is a good example of (modified) chalet style houses.
They contrast with other properties in the area, many of which are mock-Tudor in character.
The road was built in the early 1930s and its desirability would have been enhanced as it was a cul-de-sac. |
