On the western edge of this part of John Rocque's map can be seen Wricklemarsh House set in its land-scaped park. Rocque has misnamed it Ridley Marsh.

Wricklemarsh House was built by Gregory Page in 1723 on the site of an earlier house.

In 1783 John Cator of Beckenham bought the estate, demolished the house and, from 1806, began to sell building leases.

The estate became the Cator Estate (Blackheath Park).
