The building with the dome was the town hall
of the Metropolitan Borough of Greenwich until
a new town hall was built further along the
road in 1939.
It was originally constructed in 1876 as offices
for the Greenwich District Board of Works.
Minus its dome it is now West Greenwich House,
141 Greenwich High Road, a community centre.
