Well
Hall Road, Progress Estate, Eltham, 1915

|
|
Well Hall Road on the Progress Estate was built by the government in 1915 for Woolwich Arsenal workers. The architect was Sir Frank Baines.
A group of houses with the entrance to the
estate between them, symetrically designed
in a mixture of styles based on the 'garden
suburb' architectural trend of that time.
Tramlines to and from Woolwich, also built especially for Royal Arsenal workers, can be clearly seen.
