In the foreground is land belonging to the Royal Artillery adjoining the Royal Artillery barracks.

 

Wellington Street dominated by the Town Hall of Woolwich Borough Council, which was designed by Sir Alfred Brumwell Thomas in1906. It is now the town hall for Greenwich Council.

Brewer Street, now mainly incorporated into John Wilson Street, is on the left.

Behind the Town hall complex is Calderwood Street with the large Methodist Church (now a Sikh Temple) at the junction with Brewer Street.
