Crewdson Road still retains most of the Victorian terraces as seen in the picture, which were built to follow the contour of the street in a clever faceted arrangement.

In an area abounding with post war and modern housing estates, the road has only one block that was replaced by a bland Lambeth housing assoc-iation building.
