Morton Place, Lambeth North, 1965

5 - 7 Morton Place, off Lambeth Road, a row of Victorian terraces with distinctive pointed brick arched lintels over the entrance doors.

The blue plaque commemorates Emma Cons, the founder of the Old Vic Theatre, who was also an active socialist and educationalist, and her niece, Lilian Baylis, who re-established the Old Vic and Saddlers Wells.
