Wood Street, later Dunbar Road, during the floods of Sunday 14th June 1914.

All of the low lying parts of Norwood were regularly flooded by the River Effra, which had become incorporated into the local sewage system.

To prevent further occurances the sewer system was enlarged in 1935.
