Stockwell Park Road, Stockwell,
c. 1920

The road beyond the junction with Robsart Road now has large new housing estates on either side. |
|
This
view looks at houses in this stretch of Stockwell
Park Road which still survive, as does St
Michaels Church.
The church, dating from 1841, survived the
exten-sive damage done to the area by a flying
bomb in World War II. The bomb damage resulted
in the area opposite the church being cleared
for Slade Park, and more recently a children's
adventure playground.
