Streatham Hill Theatre, seen here after being hit by a V1 flying bomb on 3rd July 1944.

There was one fatality and a number of people were injured.

Many of the nearby houses were also badly damaged.

The theatre was repaired and opened again in the 1950s, but did not remain a theatre very long. It is currently run as a bingo hall.
