White Lodge, Leigham Court Road,
Streatham, 1948

This photograph shows the site prior to development in September 1948. |
|
White
Lodge was one of many large Victorian mansions
in the area that were demolished to be replaced
by blocks of flats between 1945 and 1975.
Leigham Court Road was opened for speculative
development during the 1830s and has seen
numerous changes over the years.
It is particularly noted for its array of
different architectural styles.
