These sub-standard terraces and terraced cottages were demolished as part of a social housing scheme centred on Hemans Street, Lambeth, during the mid 1930s.

The Fount Street develop-ment, completed in 1947, was built to the south of Heman Street and other housing developments were to follow to its north, leaving little in the area of what was there before.
