Pascal
Street lies to the west of Wandsworth Road.
This view, looking towards the railway lines
and shows the typical cottage style terraces
that were demolished as part of the Hemans
Street Estate development, which was one of
the first social housing schemes to be embarked
on by Lambeth Council, providing quality low
cost flats as part of a slum-clearance programme
during the late 1930s.
Bramley Crescent and Apple Blossom Court,
part of a more recent develop-ment, stand
on this site. |
