The development of Catford was well advanced by 1917, at which date the only large area of building land left unexploited was west of Ravensbourne Park, where operations had been suspended because of First World War.

When they resumed 'Ravensbourne Park Road' became Montacute Road.

To the south of the town hall the Forster Estate off Bromley Road had been proceeding rapidly since 1900, and was nearly complete as far as Arran Road.

Kelly's maps were inconsistent in their indication of houses.
