Blythe Hill Lane,
Catford, Lewisham, c. 1950

These cottages stand on the east side of Blythe Hill Lane. |
|
Blythe Hill Fields is one of four roughly conical hills in South East London, each giving splendid views over the city, (the others being at Nunhead, Honor Oak, and Hilly Fields).
Blythe Hill Fields owns its existence as an open space to the grounds of Blythe Hill House, which was approached from Stanstead Road along Blythe Hill Lane. The house was demolished in the 1890s. |
