This view looks west along Downham Way towards Bromley Road.

On the extreme right is the porch of Downham Methodist Church - one of the five original places of worship on the estate.

Downham Way was the main axis of the London County Council's huge Downham Estate of the 1920s. The estate was a green-field development that provided 7000 homes to the residents of inner London.
