Shops
in High Road, Lee Green, c. 1905

The new inhabitants of Lee needed shops,
and most shops in those days were small and
highly specialised.
In this terrace, next to the Old Tiger's Head
pub, were a butcher, a tobacconist, a hosier
(socks and stockings), two milliners (hats
etc.), a furniture dealer, a picture dealer
and a hairdresser.
