Jane Annear writes: "My great grandfather was Jacob Perry who was the farmer of Upper Mill (Perry's Farm).

"He was born in Wiltshire, and gradually worked his way across to Norfolk where he married, and then ended up in Catford.

"One of his sons, who was born in Eltham, went to Eltham in New Zealand where he died quite soon after arriving. He was, I believe, run over by a horse and cart."
