Upper Mill

The
Upper Mill at Southend was used for grinding
corn from the many local farms until the late
nineteenth century, when Jacob Perry began
to use it as a farmhouse and timberyard.
The pond was used for watercress beds. The
mill house was demolished in the 1960s.
