Camberwell Grove, Camberwell, 1836

Grove Crescent, Camberwell Grove, was auctioned in 1836 in four lots as part of a large sale disposing of the estate of William Whitton.

The four houses came into the hands of a trust, which sold them again in 1869.

By that time they had been renumbered 169 to 175 Camberwell Grove (odd numbers only). In 1869 they were sold at about £1000 each.
