This is a view along the northern section of Gibbon Road looking towards Evelina Road.

The road owed its commercial success to the fact that it was the main approach to Nunhead Station, which opened in 1871.

Originally called Cemetery Road, it was the main approach from Evelina Road to Nunhead Cemetery.
