Homestall Farm, Peckham, c. 1900

Homestall Farm, Peckham, c. 1900

Homestall Farm, Peckham Rye, stood until August 1908 when it was demolished.

The farm had been purchased by London County Council (LCC) in 1894 and became Peckham Rye Park.

The park was created as an extension to Peckham Rye, which became a public park in 1868. By the end of the 19th century it was being used beyond its capacity and the extension was needed..
