Prefabs, Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley Common, 1967

 

Built after the war as accomodation for families made homeless by wartime bombing, they were still in use when this picture was taken on 20th January, 1967.

Most were demolished to make way for the Turpington council estate, but this southernmost section was never built on again and reverted to open land.
