Mottingham Methodist Church, Mottingham, 1985

methodist-church-00879-350

Built in 1883 on the site of an early mission hall and affiliated to the Chislehurst circuit from its formation in 1892, the church began with a membership of just four and grew very slowly, the arrival of the London County Council estates in the 1930s having little effect on membership.

The building remains much as built although a hall was added after the war.
