Norlesdon, Mottingham Lane, Mottingham, c. 1976

norlesdon-00956-350

Built around 1875 and one of a number of large Victorian houses built in Mottingham Lane around this time, Norlesden had unusually ornate brickwork even for this period when high Gothic was very much in fashion.

Until the 1960s it was named 'The Hurst' although this was not its original name. It remains a family home.
