Little Thrift, Petts Wood, 1954

The houses in Little Thrift - the name is a reference to a (felled) piece of woodland - are typical of those of east Petts Wood: detached large houses, subtly different in character and vaguely mock-Tudor in style.

These characteristics are very much in keeping with standards laid down by Basil Scruby, developer of the Petts Wood area.
