Map of Catford in the late 1940s

map-01368-350

This post-Second World War map shows a few gaps where bombs had fallen, for example in Callander Road and Sangley Road, and the small box-like shapes of a group of prefabricated houses in Bargery Road.

The dense pattern of buildings south of Hazlebank Road indicates a large estate of 'prefabs' that is still standing today - a rare survival.
